in rgs we dont have music, art and design, and home econs as seperate classes. we have them together as one class, aesthetics. we do aesthetics once a week each time for 3 hours. 10 weeks of music, 10 weeks of art and design, ten weeks of home econs. my class started out with art and design, and guess what we're supposed to do? design and make moving toys. from scratch. -.-
it started out totally BORING. but then we started putting together electronic kits (yay!) for our toys in the D&T and sketching our toys. i dont really know what to do still. sigh.
but im planning on this little toy that is shaped as ann egg, and will open when you clap and then "the baby inside the egg will push the 2 halves of the egg apart". not sure yet. oh well.
oh god i missed geog exam. and i forgot to look for the teacher for retest. shit.





oh shit. carly can't talk. her throat is stuck. well not really stuck. but she can't talk. it hurts, it hurts, it hurts.
felt really horrible this morning. thought it was just a normal sore throat. i missed house prac, but i still went for french class. still could talk then. came back and couldn't clear my throat properly. it just... hurt. then took amoxicillin and went to sleep. slept until dinner. just finished dinner. i don't want to sleep. i just want to talk. to someone. anyone. but i can't talk. sigh.
im so afraid that i'll lose my voice. like this how to join choir?





omg im so tired. yesterday had 3rd lang, saw some old classmates. most of them commented on my hair =(. dyon: you look funny. sheryl: you look weird. justin: you look like an obasan.
oh well who cares. hair dou cut le, what can i say?
then during the later part of jap class, i started feeling weird. my temperature began to rise and i knew i had a fever. so kept drinking water.
went home and took medicine. then woke up this morning and found my temperature higher than yesterday. sigh. watched tv for a while then slept again. just woke up.
i hate being sick.

whoots! orientation camp rawked! literally! we didnt win la, but we all pitched in and put in our best effort, so it was ok. isab is hyper that her class won. congrats!
the station games were ok. house pracs were damn fun! we leart many many new cheers and sang many many new house songs.
but throughout the whole orientation, my favourite activities were still the great great raffles initiation sessions. we cheered our hearts out.
and also we cheered so loud after the camp concert standing in our surround sound system, the parents actually put their hands over their ears. whoots!

life in rgs is going to be so tiring.. sigh.
first few weeks because of orientation and cca trials and all. that's ok la. but starting next week school REALLY starts. we're getting our badges tomorrow. there's a ceremony for it and all. then we'd really be rafflesians. after that there's a 2-day camp and then school we're going to start studying.
a lot of things to do leh! first got commonwealth essay. then chinese compo. then we have to prepare all the files and books needed (so ex. not counting jap already almost $400). but at least the teachers are nice. all of them so funny! =)
and i found out not long ago that my best friend in my new class is the top scorer of st nicks.

cca trials. i already tried out for choir. so nervous that my pitching was so bad. it sucked. but still got into 2nd audition. waiting for results now. sigh. im going to try out for red cross and international dance and shooting and drama too. i want to get into drama!

camp. they're going to make us play all the station games and get all hot and sweaty, then take a bath in school. but the good thing is, they're going to screen a movie before bedtime! =) annie said it would be a nice movie. lets wait and see.

only one sentence to describe first day of school : "chao ji gan ga".
vera and isabelle lucky lor, could make so many friends. but at least still can go home together with them.
in my class, at least 2/3 is from rgp. so they all know each other! and then the rest is me, 3 from nanyang, 3 from st. hilda's, a few from nanhua, some other people. but everyone has a friend. at least, a good friend. me ar. alone lor. everyone knows each other what. so talk to me for what.
but still got friendly ones la. like a friend from st. hilda's. i wont try to write her name here in case i spell it wrongly(ao fei, people call her af), who's pokemon crazy. literally. in her presentation about herself, she said her hobbies were : reading pokemon, watching pokemon, drawing pokemon, bla... i think i have a habit of making friends with people from china. convo between me and af.

af (who sits beside me) : hey, are you from china?
me : huh? yeah. how did you know.
af : i knew from your chinese name.
me : why?
af : because not many people in singapore have "wu" as a surname.
me (thinking about af's beijing chinese accent): oh. are you from china too?
af : yeah. i'm from beijing. where are you from?
me : my parents are from hunan, i was born in shenzhen.
af : oh, shenzhen! my uncle lives there!
me : have you been there?
af : yes! it's fun!
me : have you been to the theme parks there? (i meant theme parks, but i actually said "entertainment park" =.=". stupid carly. as usual.)

then convo ended awkwardly. oh well. at least i have a friend.
oh and another friend, esther, who i did icebreaker with. we played games like human knot, then something which sounded like "triple whacko". im not actually sure of the name. oh well.
well. chao ji gan ga la. convos always ended weirdly. tgalked to a few others when doing ice breaker, but cannot remember names. so mean of me. sigh. im not going to survive sec 1. im like an outcast in my new class. sigh.

but at least i bumped into jing han (lp friend =)) during lunch and had lunch with her, or else i would have been going alone, like recess. jing han is SO smart, and SO nice.
oh i forgot, at recess i also saw and talked to michelle (lp friend too). wah, learning point so pro, got so many pupils got into rgs. unfortunately i cannot attend classes there le, no more time.
